Gwyneth Paltrow is enthusiastic about ex-fiancé Brad Pitt’s skin care line and gives it her Goop seal of approval: ‘It’s really beautiful’

A year after Brad Pitt revealed that his ex-fiancée, Gwyneth Paltrow, sparked his interest in skincare, the Goop founder gives her review of his Le Domaine Skincare line.

In a new interview with The New York Timesthe Pitt’s Seven co-star raved about his genderless beauty venture, which launched in October 2022.

“It’s good,” Paltrow, 51, told the publication, before clarifying, “Yes, it’s really beautiful.”

It turns out that Paltrow was one of the first people Pitt sent her skin care line products to try.

Pitt developed the Le Domaine brand in collaboration with the Perrin family, the same vintners behind its Château Miraval wines, and the products are all based on the antioxidant power of grapes.

Around that time, he announced the launch of Le Domaine in an interview British VoguePitt admitted that it was Paltrow who made him pay more attention to his skin color and the importance of skin care.

“She was probably the first person to make me wash my face twice a day… maybe,” the two-time Academy Award winner told the publication.

He then talked about the success Paltrow has had with Goop, the wellness and lifestyle brand that sells skin care products, among other products, which she founded in September 2008.

“I love what Gwyneth has done (with Goop),” he said, discussing the start of Le Domaine. “She’s still a very dear friend and she built this empire. She has always had that in her as a curator and it has been a great creative outlet for her.’

All the mutual praise between the two comes some 26 years after they ended their romance, which was just six months after their engagement.

The two stars started dating in 1994 after filming the crime thriller film drama Seven.

Paltrow called it “big, big love at first sight” when they met on set, during a televised conversation Call Her Daddy podcast in May. “It was crazy.”

Over the next few years, they became one of Hollywood’s most popular couples with fans.

Paltrow ultimately called off the engagement because she simply wasn’t ready for marriage at that point in her life; she still had some growing to do, both mentally and emotionally.

“Looking back, I had a lot of development to do,” the actress said of herself during the podcast. ‘In many ways I didn’t really come into my own until I was forty years old. And I had such a nice problem.’

She continued, “I didn’t even understand how to listen to my instincts and act from that place on what was right for me. I always tried to judge what was good for everyone else.”

The Shakespeare In Love star would eventually admit that her romance with Pitt was her first high-profile relationship with another celebrity, and in retrospect, it taught her the need for public discretion over her love life.

The former couple have since both found love again in other high-profile relationships.

Pitt married Jennifer Aniston from 2000 to 2005 and then started a family with Angelina Jolie, whom he dated for nine years before marrying in 2014. They separated and went their separate ways about two years after the wedding.

As for Paltrow, she married Coldplay singer Chris Martin in 2003, but it would end in divorce thirteen years later.

She has since married Brad Falchuk, a television writer, director and producer best known for co-creating the hit Fox musical drama series Glee, in 2018.
