The Pies coach shared his incredible news in front of 100,024 fans at the MCG after Collingwood recorded a dramatic four-point win over the Brisbane Lions, sparking a wave of congratulations from the footy community.

Gabrielle McRae married husband Craig in 2022 and the couple expected Maggie to arrive in mid-October, welcoming the little girl two weeks early.

Who is Craig McRae?

McRae is a former premiership-winning AFL footballer and is now a premiership-winning coach.

The 50-year-old is a popular figure in football circles and played for the Brisbane Lions, where he won three consecutive flags in 2001, 2002 and 2003.

He was known for his goal-scoring ability and was a hard tackler. McRae retired from football in 2004 and has worked as a coach at several clubs, including the Lions, Richmond, Hawthorn and Collingwood.

He won the VFL premiership as head coach of the Tigers’ affiliate club, Coburg, in 2019.
