Asian Games live updates Day 7: India shooters eye medal one last time

On Day 7 (September 30) of the 2023 Asian Games, Indian shooters, including weightlifters Mirabai Chanu and Rohan Bopanna, would look to extend India’s medal haul. The Weightlifting event at the Asian Games starts today with Mirabai and Bindiyarani battling for the medal, but they are expected to face stiff competition from Korean and Chinese weightlifters. In shooting, Sarabjot Singh and Divya TS are hoping to medal in the mixed 10m air pistol event. The big attraction of the day was two matches between India and Pakistan, one in the men’s squash team final, while the second will be the hockey match between India and Pakistan, starting at 6:15 PM IST. In boxing, Lovlina Borgohain will be in action alongside Preeti, with athletics, golf and table tennis events taking place throughout the day.
