Taylor Swift’s record label and publishing company blocked Fox from using her music during last weekend’s Chiefs-Bears game, the network’s top NFL producer said.
Swift unsurprisingly set the internet on fire when she showed up at Arrowhead Stadium to cheer on new beau Travis Kelce, sitting next to his mother Donna in box seats.
And while Fox focused heavily on the pop star during the Chiefs’ big win, they were apparently denied a request asking permission to use some of Swift’s hits.
“Earlier this week, amid the avalanche of rumors, our bulldog associate producer Rich Gross requested permission to use some of Swift’s music,” NFL on Fox lead producer Richie Zyons wrote on FoxSports.com.
According to FOX’s music department, Swift’s record label and publishing company denied our request “in conjunction with speculation about or about her private/personal/dating life.”

Zyons said they received confirmation on Sunday morning that Swift would be present.
While Kelce was warming up, Zyons wrote, he even told Greg Olsen and Erin Andrews that the rumors were true.
“But you didn’t hear it from me,” the tight end said.
Kelce recorded 69 yards and a touchdown with Swift on the rise, and he will reportedly have the pop star in his corner again this weekend.
According to Front Office Sports, Swift will see Kelce again Sunday night in East Rutherford as the Chiefs visit the Jets.
Kelce spoke to his brother Jason on his “New Heights” podcast about his whirlwind weekend afterward — and praised his new love interest.
“Shout out to Taylor for stepping up. That was pretty rowdy,” he said.
“I just loved that everyone in the suite had only good things to say about her. The friends and family. She looked great, everyone talked about her in a great light.
‘Plus, the day went perfectly for Chiefs fans. We script it all, ladies and gentlemen. It was just impressive.”
