Boys at New Hampshire high school spark outrage after secretly taking lurid photos of female classmates and turning them into Pokémon TRADING CARDS that graded girls on their looks

Boys at a New Hampshire high school have sparked outrage after secretly exchanging Pokémon cards with salacious photos of their female classmates.

9th and 10th grade students at Bedford High School were accused of taking secret photos of girls in 11th and 12th grades without their consent.

They then stuck them onto trading cards that featured the girls’ breasts, buttocks and names.

Principal Bob Jozokos warned parents about the “shocking” behavior and promised those involved would be severely punished if identified.

“This is absolutely inappropriate behavior and is not expected of our students,” Jozokos wrote.

“Let your teen know that I take this sexual harassment very seriously and it has no place in our community.”

The trading cards showed the chests, backs and names of the girls NBC10 Bostonwith one older boy saying he was shocked when he found out.

‘This is terrible. That’s just disgusting,” the high school student told the broadcaster.

The student, who did not want to be identified, said boys had been printing pictures of the girls and pasting them over the Pokémon cards for at least a week.

“They rated them from 0 to 10… as bad or not bad,” he added.

The senior said the girls were completely unaware of the nefarious card game and that one of the girls assessed was a friend of his.

“She’s been bullied, she’s not happy at all, she was just very ashamed,” he said.

Senior Kristen Caldwell started an online petition calling on the district to take the allegations seriously.

“Personally, I felt like there were definitely girls who could be victims of this and who were too scared to say anything,” she said WCVB.

The Change.org had 4,356 of 5,000 signatures as of Wednesday and urged the administration to take a bigger stand on the boys involved once they are identified.

“The young women who attend Bedford High School deserve justice,” the petition says. “These shameful young boys treat their peers like sex objects.

“How would you feel if your daughter’s privacy was invaded without her knowledge?

How would you feel if you found a trading card with your daughter’s sexual body parts, name and a rating of her appearance, and were told it was made by a group of her peers in a place where they could feel safe? should feel? and protected?’

The petition continues to question how an educational institution became a dangerous place for women.

“What has school become for these young women? We are not a toy for your son to play with, nor a piece of paper that can be traded like a Pokémon card,” the message continued.

“After discovering this information, many young women attending Bedford High School were quietly outraged.

“What was Bedford High School’s solution to this abhorrent issue? Delay. A temporary absence from school was used to the fullest extent by authorities to exploit teenage girls and distribute inappropriate images of these teenage girls without their knowledge.”

Caldwell believes that the boys responsible should be permanently expelled and questions why the issue has not been taken ‘seriously’ enough.

“These students do not belong at our school and should be removed immediately,” the petition reads.

“The damage they have done to our community is irreversible and cannot be compensated for in any way other than justice for their disgustingly irresponsible actions.

“As a 12th grade female attending Bedford High School, I will refuse to remain silent on this issue in honor of the girls who are too afraid of ridicule to speak out, and I encourage all members of the Bedford community and beyond, whether you are a parent, teacher, student, etc., to support our protest against the lack of discipline that Bedford has shown.”

Chief Inspector Michael Fournier told NBC10 Boston that he recognized the seriousness of the situation, but emphasized that it is difficult to impose a punishment without a name.

‘The government has talked to children. No names have emerged. So if there are any names, we would like to have them,” Fournier said.

‘This is inappropriate. We’ll get started on it. There will be consequences. Once we know, we will know what consequences to take.”

Antonio Bruno told WCVB that his daughter, 15, may have been one of the girls whose photo was unknowingly shared.

“She saw the photo and she thinks she is one of the girls,” he said, adding that she no longer wants to go to school.

“We’re thinking about maybe moving my daughter somewhere else because if she’s not safe at school, where is she going to be safe?”

According to WMUR School administrators interviewed 35 students about the incident on Friday, but there are still no solid leads on the boys involved.

Jozokos said a student shared two collage photos of girls wearing swimsuits, shorts or tops with school administrators.

None of the photos showed nudity and school officials said they were not taken on or around campus.

He confirmed that at least two students received the images, and numerous reports indicate that three to five students shared the photos via Snapchat.

School officials said students who received the inappropriate images did not obtain consent from the girls depicted in the photos and their families have been notified.

Bedford has a population of approximately 23,000 and is located just outside Manchester in southern New Hampshire. About 1,500 students attend the high school.
