Nicola Thorp pokes fun at Jeremy Kyle’s age by calling him a ‘Victorian’ as they prepare to launch their new breakfast show on Talk TV
Broadcasting legend Jeremy Kyle joins TV presenter and columnist Nicola Thorp in a brand new breakfast show on TalkTV.
Launching early next month on October 2, Talk Today will be a dynamic mix of news and views, broadcast daily from 6am to 9.30am from the state-of-the-art TV studios in The News Building on London Bridge.
And the on-screen chemistry between the two presenters is already in full swing as Nicola poked fun at the age gap between the 58-year-old and herself, 34.
In a trailer for the show, Nicola joked: “I’m a millennial, you’re a Victorian” as she points to the 58-year-old.
The title sequence then shows the pair making their way to the studio, leafing through the morning papers along the way before arriving at the studio.

Jeremy and Nicola will host the shows Monday to Thursday, with hosts for Friday and the weekend to be announced soon.
Discussing his new career, Jeremy said: “I started my career doing breakfast shows, so Talk Today feels like coming home. There is something very special about being in the place that sets the news agenda for the day.
“I am extremely excited to be working with Nicola. We’ve become great friends off camera, so it will be great to bring that friendship to the show.
“We will talk to the public about the issues that affect the entire country, not just a few. And of course we’ll have some fun.’
The former actress is a regular contributor to This Morning and The Talk, where she delves into the day’s headlines, and now the broadcaster will co-host her own news show.
Nicola cuts a sophisticated figure in the trailer as she dons a canary yellow power suit and sits next to Jeremy, ready to start the show.
Speaking about the new role, Nicola said: ‘It’s a dream come true to co-host the brand new breakfast show Talk Today.
“I have been part of the TalkTV family for the past eighteen months, during which time I have connected with people who have challenged my opinions and taught me how to find common ground across the political divide.
“I look forward to hearing from our viewers across Britain about what matters most to them and holding politicians to account. It is important to both me and Jeremy that everyone has a voice.’

Meanwhile, it sees the start of a busy chapter for Jeremy as he revealed earlier this week that he is set to become a father for the sixth time as his wife Victoria is pregnant with their second child, a girl.
Speaking to The Sun, Jeremy said he and Victoria, who he married in 2021, are ‘over the moon’ to welcome another child early next year, adding his family will be ‘complete’.
He said: ‘Vic says I should set up a side business bottling it because I’m 58 and only have one testicle, but everyone knows that anyway.
‘The other children are very happy, although my eldest Harriet thinks I need an autopsy.
“Personally, I think it’s my late parents laughing from above, to be honest.”
