And with NFL star Aaron Rodgers and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg all buying up property in the area, the property is being described as a “generational opportunity.”

But with an asking price of $76 million, this is out of reach for most and could overtake a 2013 sale for $48 million as the most expensive sale in the Tahoe Bay region.

In addition to ample outdoor space, the property features seven en-suite bedrooms, a media room for eight, a bar and a games room.

It also comes with an additional 1,500-square-foot guesthouse that houses three of the bedrooms.

Originally built in 1994, Old Forge is the creation of disgraced casino magnate Steve Wynn, former chairman of Wynn Resorts.

Wynn made his fortune in the gambling business and expressed his taste for luxury in his designs for his famous Las Vegas casinos, including the Bellagio, Golden Nugget and The Mirage.

He was forced to resign from his role as chairman due to a workplace sexual misconduct scandal.

He admitted no wrongdoing but ended a yearslong dispute with the casino regulator by agreeing to pay a $10 million fine and cutting ties with the industry he helped shape in Las Vegas.

The property was sold to a trust for $17 million four years after Wynn built it and last sold in 2017 for $31 million, less than half the current asking price, according to SF port.

Christine Perry, a luxury real estate agent at Christie’s International Real Estate Sereno, told the outlet, “Properties like this are generational and rarely become available.”

In recent years the house has undergone significant renovations, including a new patio and the installation of a second kitchen.

But for all water sports enthusiasts, the real attraction lies outside the property, in the form of the private pier leading to an exclusive 60-metre beach and elevated jet ski platform.

And after a hard day on the water, the lucky buyer can look forward to a relaxing drink in the home’s wine room and wet bar.

The Nevada beauty spot has long been popular among the upper echelons of society for its seclusion and stunning backdrop.

Other high rollers who have bought in the region include Oracle founder Larry Ellison and technology billionaire David Duffield.

Perry added, “Anyone familiar with this area of Lake Tahoe will understand that the privacy, prestige and endless possibilities afforded by these types of estates may not be available again for another 10 to 20 years.”

After Old Forge, this was the second most expensive home list Crystal Pointe, which hit the market in June for $49.5 million, after listing at $75 million in 2017, the most expensive at the time.
