Meet Lapsha, the adorable ‘dog with the longest nose in the world’: white and fluffy Canadian borzoi with impressive ’12 INCH’ muzzle goes viral and entertains dog lovers with her daily antics on her own Instagram channel
Meet the huge-nosed Canadian borzoi named Lapsha – whose daily antics on Instagram have gone viral among dog lovers.
The big white pooch’s owners have hilariously documented her “daily struggle” of having such a big snout to navigate.
With more than 108,000 fans, Lapsha shows off her ridiculously long nose – estimated to be around 12 inches long – and her adorable puppy eyes.
Her family reportedly believes she should break the world record for the longest snoot, or as they call it, her ‘snootapede’.
Despite looking cute, the Lapsha nose causes some serious everyday problems, such as clumsiness and messiness.

Borzois are known for their long faces. The breed’s name translates to “fast” in Russian, where they are also called wolfhounds. From nose to tail, Eris is over four feet tall, while her nose is a foot long.
Borzois rank 103rd in popularity among the 192 dog breeds listed by the American Kennel Club in 2018. Lily and Eris have not yet met any other borzoi in person, but they remain hopeful.
Although the length of her elongated snout has not been verified, the super snout has plenty of time to become an official world record holder, as borzois can live up to 15 years.
In a post explaining Lapsha’s long nose, her owners joked: ‘When it’s comfortable, the snout tape starts to droop and the snout reaches maximum droop. This is called true form.
‘This is often immeasurable, like trying to measure a changing mountain range. Most people only see the causal form in snootapedes, because this is the typical form they take when they are on the move.’
Another message read: ‘Snoot rest. It is important to rest the snoot on a comfortable surface such as, but not limited to: pillows, blankets, beds, people, and couches.
‘Here we see the snout resting peacefully against the most favorable surface: the couch. Resting the snoot can last from a minute to several hours.’
