Kate Middleton is spotted looking sporty as she watches Prince George play football

Kate Middleton proved her down-to-earth nature as she donned jeans and white trainers to watch Prince George play football this weekend.

In the snap, which was shared on social media, the Princess of Wales, 41, beamed with joy as she sheltered from the rain while watching her eldest son play in a match alongside her husband Prince William, 41.

The royal mother of three was dressed for the occasion, opting for a smart Barbour jacket with blue flared jeans and white On x Roger Federer running shoes.

She swept her hair away from her face and opted for a casual makeup look for the outing, wrapping a black scarf around her neck to stay warm.

In October 2019, aged six, George was pictured enthusiastically celebrating a 5-1 Villa win with William, his mother Kate and sister Charlotte.

Meanwhile, he also watched the club beat Nottingham Forest 2-0 in a match in April.

The Prince’s love for the beautiful game was evident when he attended the European Championship final at Wembley in June 2021, where England faced Italy.

After joining his parents for the national anthem, George threw out his arms and shouted in pure joy as Luke Shaw propelled England into an early lead over Italy in the opening minutes.

But the young royal later had to be consoled as his team lost on penalties to the Azzurri after being outplayed by Roberto Mancini’s men in the second half.

Kate’s appearance at the football match comes at a busy time for the princess, who has returned to royal engagements after the summer holidays.

Last week, Kate visited the Streets of Growth charity, where she met mothers and daughters helped by the service to see some of the shoes and jewelery they have made in creative workshops.

And earlier this month, a source close to Kate and William claimed the couple are “laser focused” and “know what they want from royal life.”

As they mark their first year as Prince and Princess of Wales, the couple have discovered what they want from the role and have charted a clear path to being the future of the monarchy, say those around them.

The royal couple have made sure to make their presence felt in Wales and support the King in his duties, with William keen to continue ‘the great work that his father did’ for the Duchy of Cornwall.

Speaking to the TelegraphAccording to a source, the two “know what they want” when it comes to their working lives, adding that they “edit their own speeches and bombard assistants with questions about every assignment.”

William and Kate, along with their children Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight, and five-year-old Prince Louis, want to be “the future of the monarchy,” the source added.

“There is a lot for him to think about, and although he and his father have worked closely together, there will have been a lot of ‘listening and discussion’ about his future path,” the source said.

“He has an unwavering commitment to duty and service. “He takes the role very seriously and is incredibly focused on hard work, but also on supporting his father as king,” she added.
