Antonio Brown sparks furious reaction after comparing Steelers’ OC Matt Canada to HITLER in latest bizarre online post… as fans call comment ‘wildly inappropriate’

In a series of tweets, former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown decided to compare Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Matt Canada to Adolf Hitler.

Brown, who played nine seasons in Pittsburgh, was highly critical of Canada’s offensive system, which is one of the least efficient in the league.

To express his displeasure with his former team’s offensive leader, Brown decided it would be a good idea to roughly draw a mustache similar to that of the Nazi leader on Canada’s face. In a follow-up tweet, Brown simply wrote, “Adolf Canada.”

The timing of these tweets is strange and ill-timed for two reasons. First, they came after the Steelers defeated the Las Vegas Raiders 23-18 while rushing for a season-high 333 yards to improve to 2-1 on the season.

Second, these tweets were sent during Yom Kippur – the holiest day in Judaism.

Football fans on Twitter did not take the tweets well, with many commenting on the recipient.

“Dude wants his Twitter deleted,” one user wrote. Another said: ‘The CTE is flaring up again’ – a reference to the disease often found in the brains of football players after repeated blows to the head.

“Comparing an offensive coordinator to Hitler sounds kind of strange for Antonio Brown,” said another user, adding, “This guy is out of control.”

Other tweets pointed out the significance of the day, with one writing: ‘Posting things like this on the holiest day of the Jewish year. Get help man.’

Canada’s offense is widely deplored by Steelers fans for its inefficiency and lack of potential.

Many have called for Canada’s resignation, including Brown, who has suggested he be hired as his replacement.
