And after successfully completing the rounds, Colin reached the final question, where he turned to TV presenter Richard Madeley to help him answer.

Colin knew the answer was ‘Diplodocus’. He had tears in his eyes as he explained how much winning the award meant to him.

He said, ‘You have no idea what that means. It’s just everything.

‘The cost of living, safety, comfort. Sensible things like paying bills, home improvements. These are huge memories to make with my son.”

When asked what he would spend the money on, Colin told host Michael McIntyre that he planned to buy a camper.

He added: ‘I am involved with a charity that supports the Dwarf Sports Association so I could donate some to help myself, my son and others – parents and families who have dwarfism and are affected by it.

“Any amount of money would be life-changing.”

On X, formerly known as Twitter, viewers admitted they were teary-eyed watching the emotional episode.
