Oregon Ducks head coach Dan Lanning threw some shade at Deion Sanders’ Colorado in an impassioned pregame speech prior to his team’s 42-6 victory over the Buffaloes.

“Today we’re talking to our pads. You talk with your helmet. Every moment. The Cinderella story is over,” Lanning said in front of his team.

‘They fight for clicks, we fight for wins. There is a difference. This game is not played in Hollywood, it is played on the grass.’

Ironically, Lanning made the search for Sanders and Colorado for the cameras and the clip quickly went viral after receiving numerous clicks before the game was even completed.

Despite his speech getting the clicks he passionately fought against, it seemingly worked in motivating his players as the Ducks went into halftime with a 35-0 lead.

Lanning then went so far as to provide another click-inducing soundbite when he was interviewed at halftime as he entered the locker room: “We’re not done yet. We are not satisfied. I hope everyone who watches (Colorado) every week is still watching.”

After the break, Oregon RB Jordan James made it 42-0 in the third quarter before Buffaloes receiver Michael Harrison added a consolation touchdown on the final.

Sanders was also waylaid by Oregon’s mascot ahead of the game, with the famous duck donning his signature cowboy hat and glasses as he smashed a “Prime Time” clock.

However, the stunt didn’t go exactly as planned, as the mascot’s head fell off during the excavation.

‘Coach Prime’ and the Buffaloes were the talk of the college scene coming into the game after their strong start to the season.

However, despite the hype surrounding the team rising higher than the Rocky Mountains in Colorado, the team failed miserably against the first real contender they faced all season.
