Delta Goodrem flashes her dazzling engagement ring as she and fiancé Matthew Copley arrive for her Sydney concert

Delta Goodrem showed off her huge diamond engagement ring as she arrived for her concert with new fiancé Matthew Copley at the Sydney Coliseum Theater on Saturday.

The pop icon, 38, was seen parking outside the venue with her guitarist boyfriend, 36, before stepping outside and strolling to the front door.

The Innocent Eyes singer sported a grungy aesthetic and wore a black leather jacket over a matching crop top and leather boots.

She accessorized her demure outfit with a black leather bag, sunglasses and her dazzling engagement ring.

Delta wore no makeup and held her cell phone in one hand as she tried to open the front door.

Matthew, ever the gentleman, was seen carrying a clear garment bag containing Delta’s costume for the show – a striking aqua pantsuit.

The rocker wore a black skivvy, gray pants, high socks, sneakers and sunglasses.

At one point, Delta was seen outside the venue hugging a female crew member, presumably after congratulating the singer-songwriter on her upcoming nuptials.

Delta announced her engagement to Matthew in an Instagram post on Thursday evening, along with a loved-up photo of the couple on holiday in Malta.

In the image, Delta tenderly embraced her love in front of a beautiful sea view as the sun set in the foreground and the couple enjoyed a glass of champagne.

“My best friend asked me to marry him,” she giddily captioned the image, alongside a ring emoji.

Delta also shared footage of the precious moment when a quartet played in front of a lawn sprinkled with white rose petals.

As the camera panned over a breathtaking view, Delta shared a glimpse of her dazzling engagement ring.

Delta recently wrapped up its European Hearts on the Run tour and enjoyed some time off in Malta before returning to Australia on Monday.

The former Neighbors star has had his fair share of famous faces, from Nick Jonas and Brian McFadden to tennis great Mark Philippoussis.

But much less is known about Matthew, the singer’s current boyfriend.

In 2018, she told InStyle Australia that she had made a “conscious decision” to keep her love life private.

“I made a choice that I’m not even going to say ‘yes’ or ‘no’… I didn’t say anything for three or four years,” she stated.

As a result, Delta and Matthew never appear on the red carpet together and the Born to Try hitmaker rarely goes into details about her relationship in interviews.

She finally broke her silence in February this year in Australian Women’s Weekly, confessing: “He’s my guitarist, I met him through music.”

“It’s incredible to be on stage with him because he’s so talented. We are truly a team. He is my best friend, he is kind and a beautiful person,” she continued.

‘I’m very lucky. It’s all very natural and I think it comes from a beautiful respect and love. I feel so grateful.’

Despite her comments, Delta insisted she did not want to share any further details about her husband.

“I learned quite young that I like to keep some of that private.” I’ve always been so understanding that I’ve been in the public eye since I was a teenager, but I also think it’s nice to keep some things to yourself.”

Although Matthew is best known as his girlfriend’s guitarist, he has also worked with some other big names in the industry, including Conrad Sewell.

The couple even went into business with their own independent record label called ATLED Records (ATLED is Delta spelled backwards).

‘Being able to play music anywhere is special to me, playing music anywhere with my love is even better, playing music with my love with my family in Malta was so incredible!’ Matthew posted a message last week following one of Delta’s concerts.

‘But yesterday’s performance was important for more than one reason. With a great team around us, without whom we couldn’t do any of this, Delta and I started ATLED Records and premiered the first song live on stage! What a day.’

Matthew was referring to Delta’s new single Back to Your Heart, which is not only released via ATLED Records, but is also co-written by Matthew.

“Back to Your Heart is the first song I wanted to share together in this exciting new era of music,” Delta recently said in a statement.

“The song is about letting go of the worries and fears in your head, and remembering to get back to what you love and lead with your heart.”
