Manchester United players are reportedly still angry about the way David de Gea was treated ahead of his departure from the club in the summer.
De Gea’s contract at Old Trafford expired at the end of June and the Spaniard left the club after twelve years of service.
Terms were agreed for a new deal for the 32-year-old, which saw his salary reduced from £375,000 per week, but the club later pulled out of the agreement.
Erik ten Hag had reservations about De Gea’s ball skills and opted to sign Andre Onana from Inter Milan for £47 million to become his new number 1.

It is understood there was disquiet among United’s players over the manner in which the Spaniard departed.
The 32-year-old was a popular member of the dressing room and won the Premier League’s Golden Glove last season after keeping the most clean sheets in the league.
De Gea, who is still without a club, expressed his frustration at the circumstances surrounding his departure when he posted a circus emoji on Twitter after the U-turn on his contract.
He later insisted he was ‘looking for a new challenge’, despite Man United withdrawing their contract offer.
Bruno Fernandes, who took over as Man United’s captaincy this summer, wrote on social media at the time that De Gea ‘deserved’ a better exit from the club.
The Portuguese midfielder posted on Instagram: ‘You know what I think about you and how much I will miss you, bro.
‘You deserved to say goodbye in the stadium, with all the fans cheering you on for all the wonderful memories.
“You have made history at the club and your name will never be forgotten and no one can take that away from you. All the best for what lies ahead for you and your family.”
De Gea, who was heavily criticized for his ballplaying qualities during his final seasons at Old Trafford, was eventually succeeded by Onana.
But the Cameroon international has had a difficult start to his Man United career.
Onana made a high-profile mistake with the opening goal in the Red Devils’ 4-3 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday and has conceded 14 goals in his first six games.
