Julianne Moore steps out for a stylish solo stroll through New York City… after it was revealed she will compete for Best Supporting Actress at the Oscars
Julianne Moore stepped out in a fashionable ensemble during a solo stroll through New York City.
The 62-year-old actress was spotted carrying a brown paper bag during the outing on Wednesday afternoon.
The walk comes just hours after it was announced that Moore will be nominated for the Best Supporting Actress category at the Oscars for her new film May December, while her co-star Natalie Portman will compete for Best Actress.
Moore was spotted wearing a white top with a gold chain dangling from his neck and over the shirt, plus small silver earrings.
She wore a stylish army green coat that fell to her thighs and rolled up the sleeves, with black sunglasses and a silver watch on her left wrist.

Moore completed her look with white pants and brown Birkenstock sandals, with two black handbags slung over her left shoulder.
The actress is coming off the Apple TV Plus film Sharper starring Sebastian Stan, Justice Smith and John Lithgow, which debuted on the streaming service in February.
She will next be seen in May and December, which is said to be “very loosely” based on the true story of Mary Kay Letourneau.
Letourneau was a 34-year-old married teacher when she was arrested in 1997 for her sexual relationship with 12-year-old student Vili Fualaau.
Letourneau and Fualaau were married from 2005 to 2019 and shared two children together, before Letourneau died of colon cancer in 2020 at just 58.
Moore plays Grace Atherton-Yoo, who made headlines twenty years earlier for her age-gap relationship with Joe Yoo (Charles Melton).
The married couple’s lives are turned upside down when an actress (Natalie Portman) arrives to investigate Grace’s role in a movie.
While both Portman and Moore are considered co-leads, Portman will compete for Best Actress, while Moore will compete in the Supporting Actor category.

Director Todd Haynes’ film had its world premiere at Cannes and will have a limited theatrical release on November 17 before debuting on Netflix on December 1.
The film reunites Moore with Haynes, who steered her to an Oscar nomination for 2003’s Far From Heaven.
She won an Oscar for Best Actress in 2013 for her role in Still Alice, and she also has nominations for The Hours, The End of the Affair and Boogie Nights.
Portman won her Oscar for Best Actress in 2011 for her role in Black Swan, and she was also nominated for Closer in 2005 and Jackie in 2017.
