Two Ohio police officers are under investigation over a video of them apparently accusing an 11-year-old girl of creating ‘child pornography’ after she was tricked into sending her explicit images of herself.
The two officers, a man and a woman, from the Columbus Police Department allegedly showed up at a father’s door at midnight last week, six hours after he called them.
This father then shared doorbell camera footage of the encounter on a TikTok profile with an anonymous handle.
He wrote: “My daughter was the victim of an online predator. She’s 11 years old, he’s a grown man. He manipulated her into sending him photos of herself. This is the police response at midnight that we called at 6 p.m.
The father, whose identity is not yet known, told the two officers after coming out onto his porch that he wanted them to talk to his daughter to “make her understand what it was,” after reported that his daughter was manipulated into sending him photos. of herself.
Although the father initially admits that he knew the “reality” was that little could be done, he is blindsided by the policewoman’s response.
She told the father that her minor daughter “could probably be charged with child pornography if she found out she produced the images.”

The Columbus Division of Police confirmed Monday that the two officers who responded during the viral exchange were from its force.
The department says it is investigating video shared online “involving two officers responding to a call for service.”
“The Police Division views all allegations of sexual misconduct with the utmost seriousness. Incidents involving minors are treated with the utmost concern. Detectives from the Sexual Assault Unit were immediately informed of the incident and have since launched an investigation.
The Columbus Department of the Inspector General “which investigates complaints of misconduct and/or excessive use of force by sworn personnel, has opened an investigation into this incident,” according to the release.
