“Jacob Murphy’s face during the UCL anthem,” added a third.
Some fans have commented on Murphy’s Champions League run with Newcastle.
Murphy joined the Magpies from Norwich in 2017, where he spent time on loan with clubs in the Championship and League One.
He had also spent time away from Newcastle on loan with West Brom and Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship.
“I’m baffled, the Jacob Murphy we saw at Coventry is playing in the Champs League, but tell yourself how good he is,” said one fan.
Another commented: “Still can’t get over seeing Jacob Murphy in the Champions League.”
Murphy played the first 62 minutes at San Siro, with the winger then replacing Miguel Almiron.
Fans enjoyed Murphy’s reaction as he lined up for Newcastle at the San Siro on Tuesday evening.
Newcastle face a difficult return to the Champions League after being drawn in a tough group alongside AC Milan, PSG and Borussia Dortmund.
They held AC Milan to a 0-0 draw at San Siro as Nick Pope preserved his point with a series of fine saves.
Newcastle’s next Champions League match is at home against PSG on October 4.
