Moment man is dragged across the road as he tries to fight off an attacking dog before a car tries to push him out of the way.
This is the shocking moment a man is dragged onto the road as he tries to fend off an attacking dog before a passing motorist mounts the pavement in a bid to run the animal over.
CCTV footage released on Tuesday of the attack in Sheffield shows the man, dressed in a blue fleece and dark pants, holding a small black dog in the air while a larger, beige-colored dog appears to break his arm on Handsworth Road.
As he moves and tries to push the larger animal away, it locks its jaws around his left forearm and he loses his balance and falls into the street.
Despite this, the dog still refuses to let go – only when a red BMW hatchback comes to the rescue, mounting the sidewalk in what appears to be an attempt to put an end to the incident.
But as the smaller black dog tries to flee, the larger animal follows it down the road – before the sequence ends.
