DeKnight quoted Thomas as retweeting it and said, “He does it. This is an old Disney scam where they slightly rename a series to reset the contract terms to the first season. Must be addressed by all guilds/unions and crushed!’

Many fans have cited examples of how this “old Disney rip-off” has been used before, including The Suite Life of Zack and Cody which ran for three seasons… before returning after a year-long hiatus with The Sequel Life On Deck, which ran for three seasons. three more seasons.

There is no indication he will return for Daredevil: Born Again, nor DeKnight, who served as writer/executive producer/showrunner for Season 1, or Season 2 showrunners Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez or Season 3 showrunner Erik Oleson.

Daredevil: Born Again was created by Matt Corman and Chris Ord, best known for creating the USA Network series Covert Affairs.

Still, original Daredevil stars Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock/Daredevil), Vincent D’Onofrio (Wilson Fisk/Kingpin), and Jon Bernthal (Frank Castle/The Punisher) are expected to return.

Although exact salary figures for cast members on TV shows like Daredeveil: Born Again are rarely made public, it’s possible that returning cast members will be paid as part of season one deals. .and not as if the series was returning for a fourth season. and/or a continuation of the Netflix original series, although having it air on a different streaming platform than the original show would surely complicate things as well.

Filming on the 18-episode first season (an increase of five episodes from the 13-episode seasons of Netflix’s Daredevil) began in March, but was suspended in June due to the writers’ strike.
