MAFS: The heartbreaking twist in Dr Trisha Stratford’s death is revealed after the relationship expert died aged 72
Dr. Trisha Stratford was reportedly in the “happiest phase of her life” just before she died on Monday at the age of 72.
Friends of the former Married At First Sight expert made the heartbreaking admission on Tuesday as they opened up about her well-being in her final days.
The neuropsychotherapist had ‘so much planned’ for her future and was excited to start a new chapter of her life before she passed away, reported Yahoo lifestyle.
Trisha’s ‘heartbroken’ former MAFS co-star John Aiken shared a post about her tragic death on Monday, saying he was ‘devastated’ by the news.
“We shared seven amazing seasons of MAFS together. She loved everything: New Zealand, relationships, the All Blacks, the Black Caps, French wine and traveling the world. I’ll miss you Tish,” he said.

Nine also said in a statement: “We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Dr Trisha Stratford.
“Our sincere condolences and heartfelt condolences go out to her family and those closest to her at this difficult time.”
Stratford’s cause of death has still not been revealed.
Several former MAFS contestants have since taken to Instagram to express their sadness over the loss of their former confidante.

Elizabeth Sobinoff, who appeared on the show in seasons six and seven, commented, “She was so genuine and so kind to me. She was so smart and a safe place.”
Season five star Sarah Roza also said: ‘Ohhh my god, this is so terrible and unexpected news! Rest in peace Trisha. You were ALWAYS so nice to me.’
Trisha, who hails from New Zealand, joined the Nine show in 2015 in its first season, starring relationship gurus John Aiken and Sabina Read.
The neuropsychotherapist had “so much planned” for her future and was excited to start a new chapter of her life before she passed away, Yahoo Lifestyle reported.
Sabina was later replaced by current expert Mel Schilling.
During her time on the show, Trisha was known for her ‘pheromone test’ and for asking contestants if they had been ‘intimate’ with each other.
Trisha announced her decision to leave the franchise in 2020.
“After seven seasons of Married At First Sight, I have decided to step back from television to focus on my writing, research and neuropsychotherapy,” she said in a statement at the time.
