How to evolve Feebas into Milotic in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Feebas And Milotic are both iconic Pokémon from the Hoenn region, and now they are available in Pokémon Scarlet And purple: The teal mask.

Since Pokémon Scarlet and Violet don’t have the older match stat system, you don’t need to feed it Dry Poffins to increase its beauty just to evolve it. In fact, there are no Dry Poffins in this game. However, you will have to trade Feebas with a Prism Scale to get Milotic. Below we explain where to find Feebas and Prism scales and how to get your own Milotic.

This given Pokédex location can be quite muddy, as Feebas isn’t actually in the Crystal Pool, where you may have fought the Milotic in the story. It’s actually located underneath in a cave.

From the Crystal Pool (at the top of the mountain in Kitakami), there is a cave entrance to the southeast, as shown below. Go inside and jump down.

You will see an Ogre Clan member in the cave. Go through the only open path and fall through a second hole in the water. Feebas can be found in a room further down this new watery path.

There are mainly Whiscash and Barboach around, but if you look carefully you can find Feebas. You see them sweating nervously(?) underwater, but they emerge when you approach them.

You may have to clear out some Barboach by fighting to get Feebas to appear.

How to evolve Feebas into Milotic

To evolve Feebas into Milotic, you’ll need that trade it while holding a prism shell.

If you have a Nintendo Switch Online subscription you can do this with anyone online, but if you don’t you’ll have to trade with a local friend.

To easily find other players who want to trade Feebas for Milotic evolutions, you can use the trade code “03490349,” created by YouTuber Austin John plays. Please note that using this code will result in your Feebas being traded one way and the other trainer disconnecting after the trade is complete. So you lose your original Feebas-Milotic, but you get theirs. If you’re developing a shiny Feebas or a Feebas with specific stats, you might want to just ask a friend.

You can find a prism bowl at the Kitakami location below:

You can also get a Prism Scale if you register a certain number of Pokémon in the Kitakami Pokédex.
