Why hundreds of people are lining up inside the Top Ryde shopping centre in Sydney every day

A small Sydney bakery is said to be home to ‘Australia’s best banh mi’ after catching the attention of foodies.

Located 15km northwest of the CBD, Top Ryde Bakers House often sees customers queuing every day to get their hands on the delicious Vietnamese roll.

Pictures of the food are enough to make your mouth water, with 15 different options available between $8 and $12, from Chinese BBQ pork, lemongrass chicken to crispy pork.

Fans bragged about the family business in videos that went viral, with many rating the food a 10 out of 10.

Food blogger Sharron visited the store this week and waited in line for 30 minutes to order.

“The only time I stood in line for food that went viral on TikTok and thought it was worth the wait was when I went to get banh mi at Top Ryde Bakers House,” she said in a video.

‘They are very generous with their filling – they literally stuff it full – and the pate was so strong and flavourful.’

Since this wasn’t her first visit to Top Ryde Bakers House, she ordered something different and opted for three different sandwiches: crispy pork, BBQ pork and pulled pork.

“BBQ pork was the best, but the classic banh mi is also one of my favorites,” she said.

Even though Sharron had to wait half an hour, she did “it all again” to get a good banh mi.
