“Tracy had that personality that really transcended culture, that transcended race, that transcended class. Tracy made everyone a friend. He was family. He was more than a young man in the community. He was that kid walking the floors and aisles of the church,” Murriel told Fox 5.

Not only was Tracy the great-nephew of the Route 66 singer, who died in 1965, but he was also a great-nephew of Natalie Cole, a Grammy-winning singer who died in 2015.

Tracy also reportedly traveled the world with his musician grandfather Freddy, who passed away in 2020. He was one of Freddy’s four grandchildren.

Tracy also had a passion for music from his musically talented roots and was very proud of where he came from.
