Man attacked by Rottweiler in Leppington, south-west Sydney

A man has been rushed to hospital and a cat killed after the pair were attacked by a Rottweiler in a vicious attack.

Emergency services were called to a house on George Road in Leppington, in Sydney’s south-west, about 7.30am on Monday.

A man in his 50s was walking when he was attacked and left with bite wounds to his head, neck, arm and leg.

A cat in a neighboring house was also reportedly killed by the Rottweiler.

The man was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

It is understood the man was walking past the house when the dog attacked.

NSW Police confirmed two dogs have been seized by council officers investigating the incident.

After the attack, two Rottweilers were seen in cages.

Camden Council has been contacted for further comment.

Investigations are underway.
