Katherine said Lucy D’Orsi, the chief constable of the British Transport Police, contacted her after she spoke about the incident on her podcast last month.
She read the message in which Lucy branded the harassment as ‘completely unacceptable’ and urged the family to report the incident.
It read: ‘I listened to your podcast where you talked about Violet and her cousin’s terrible experience in London. That was completely unacceptable. I am responsible for overseeing the subway and trains.”
“If you haven’t reported this yet, please do so. “I try to encourage young women and girls to report unwanted behavior,” she added.
It comes weeks after Katherine detailed how Violet told her about the shocking harassment on her Tell Everybody Everything podcast last month.
She said: ‘I’m devastated this week because Violet and her cousin Lily have been in London. They have been outside during the day; they went on the train and did very healthy activities.
‘Shopping, going to an amusement park, doing this and that. And everywhere they go, they are sexually harassed by adult men every day.”
She then recalled a shocking incident when a man started filming Violet and Lily while they were on the subway, prompting Violet to start filming the man herself.
Katherine said: ‘There was a man filming them on the subway in the middle of the day. Sitting across from him was just a guy who just picked up his phone and started filming these girls.”

She said Violet later showed her the footage and photos she had taken of the man, but the harassment did not stop there as Violet said they continued to be harassed by other men in London.
‘There is no doubt about Violet’s age. She is 14 and has braces on her teeth. Anyone who looks at these girls, no one assumes they are grown women,” Katherine said angrily.
“Maybe someone is hoping Lily is 18, but still, you’re a sick freak and shouldn’t be talking to teenage girls like you. I want it to stop.’

In 2019, Katherine spoke about her close relationship with her daughter Violet, saying they have an almost “sisterly bond.”
She told The Mirror: ‘MMy daughter Violet and I have a unique relationship. I really like her and love her, and it’s special that I’ve been alone with her for a long time, so we have a bit of a sisterly relationship – which I know can be dangerous as she gets older, but it’s me risk. We live in a democracy.’
