Jarell Quansah will make his full Premier League debut for Liverpool in their clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday afternoon.
The defender, who has already made two appearances for the Reds this season, has already impressed Jurgen Klopp and his teammates.
Quansah, 20, made his debut as a 77th-minute substitute for Joel Matip against Newcastle United. After Virgil van Dijk’s red card, The Reds were already down to ten men.
With Klopp trailing 1-0, the young defender found himself in an uncomfortable situation. St James’ Park has always proven to be a tough place to travel for any team, but the 20-year-old took the game in stride and impressed.
The Reds would win 2-1 thanks to two late goals from striker Darwin Nunez, giving them a big win.
After the match, star defender Trent Alexander-Arnold was quick to praise the players who came on and impressed, including Quansah.

‘The boys who came, great. Jarell Quansah. Absolutely excellent.’
Quansah, who completed three of his five passes and won 50 percent of his ground duels, joked that he is “normally cool” in these types of situations.
“Normally I’m cool anyway,” Quansah said after the Newcastle game. ‘But it’s always easier when something is coming your way and the adrenaline is flowing through your veins.’
The 20-year-old has been on Liverpool’s books since he was five. The Warrington-born defender is a regular at the academy and has made more than 30 appearances for the under-21s.

His first taste of senior football came last season, when he was loaned out to Bristol Rovers for the second half of the 2022/2023 season.
He would make sixteen appearances for the club before returning to Anfield for pre-season.
Quansah also played 19 minutes in Liverpool’s 3–0 win over Aston Villa in the league
Following his impressive cameo against Eddie Howe’s side, Quansah made his second appearance for the Reds a week later in the club’s 3–0 win over Aston Villa.
Now the young star has the chance to show fans what he is capable of when he makes his first start against Wolves.
Speaking to BBC Sport before the match, Klopp revealed that with Konate only returning from injury earlier this week, the decision was made not to ‘force it’.
“Ibrahima Konate only came back two days ago, we could have forced it, but Jarell Quansah came on twice and did really well,” the manager said.
“We trust him, so I hope he can enjoy it.”
