Neighbors veterans Ryan ‘Toadfish’ Moloney and Lucinda ‘Melanie’ Cowden film scenes for the soap’s Amazon reboot in Melbourne
Ryan Moloney and Lucinda Cowden returned to Ramsay Street on Wednesday as the on-screen husband and wife filmed a scene for the new Amazon reboot.
It appeared the actors were filming a scene in their fictional garden as cameras kept an eye on 58-year-old Lucinda as she held a snip as she played Melanie Pearson.
Meanwhile, Ryan, 43, who plays Jarrod ‘Toadfish’ Rebecchi, looked hip, wearing suits, a blue button-up and a tie.
As cast and crew walked around, Lucinda went for a more dressed-up look for her scene as she donned a loose blue sweater and sweatpants.
Later in the scene, Ryan had to change costumes as the soap star swapped his business casual attire for his usual jeans and striped shirt.

He was seen at one point patiently with his eyes closed as the set’s makeup artist dusted some powder on his face.
Filming for Neighbors resumed in Melbourne in April this year after Amazon stepped in and saved the film from cancellation following its final after 37 years on TV.
The reboot takes place two years after that tear-jerking finale, which ended with all the neighbors gathering to celebrate Jarrod and Melanie’s wedding.
Many of the characters who were there at the end will resume their lives on Ramsay Street.
Dr. Karl (Alan Fletcher) and his wife Susan (Jackie Woodburne), Toadie and Melanie, and the incomparable Harold Bishop (Ian Smith) will all make major returns.
Hollywood star Guy Pearce also returns as Mike Young, continuing a relationship with Jane Harris (Annie Jones) that dates back to the early days of the 1980s.

“They bought a house together in Ramsay Street when we thought the show was going away,” said Guy.
‘So it seems right to us that we find out how they are doing. But I may make a respectful exit quite soon.”
Annie Jones, who says she felt at a loose end for months after the show ended, plans to stay longer than Guy.
Stefan Dennis will also stick around as ruthless businessman Paul Robinson, who made his debut in the very first episode of Neighbors in 1985.
