Parents and nannies on NYC’s well-heeled Upper East Side are left ‘creeped out’ by identical twins, 40, with ties to Jay-Z who are lurking around playgrounds and asking children ‘personal questions’

Parents and nannies on New York’s affluent Upper East Side say they are being preyed upon by identical adult female twins linked to Jay-Z and Robert DeNiro.

Gabriela and Mihaela Modorcea have been spotted lurking in the John Jay Park playground despite not having children, sparking outrage among the local parenting community.

The two 40-year-old women, known as the ‘Indiggo’, have raised many concerns among parents visiting the park.

A concerned mother says the twins, without children of their own, have entered the playground’s boundaries and asked children personal questions.

They have also been seen ‘taking pictures of children for their social media’ and posing as performers to film reactions.

‘This is my daughter’s playground. I don’t want adults around children,” said Paulina, a 35-year-old mother of four The mail.

“I don’t know why they don’t do something better with their lives instead of hanging out in a playground.” You have to draw the line.’

One sitter, who requested anonymity, said their presence disturbs and upsets people.

“It’s really scary,” she said.

A series of outraged healthcare providers have expressed their frustration on community Facebook pages.

“If you don’t have kids, stay out of the playground,” one parent wrote.

‘Omg, what’s wrong with them???? I need a kick in the ass,” said another.

“Call whoever you need to call to keep our children safe,” a third implored.

In an email, a District 5 representative said their office had contacted the Parks Division, which has sent PEP officers to conduct routine checks on the playground.

Parents are encouraged to call the NYPD if the couple is seen there.

A Parks Division representative said the “two ladies are not allowed in the playground.”

‘We are doing our best to address this issue. “I understand that it is very sad that these two ladies do not understand the rules of the park,” they said.

But the women don’t believe they are doing anything wrong.

‘We have lived here for sixteen years. We have been going to John Jay for 16 years. It’s the closest to us. It’s a complete false alarm,” Gabriela said.

They claim they moved to the US in 2006 to pursue a music career, where they lived with their mother in a modest apartment on the Upper East Side.

The women have achieved some success, appearing on America’s Got Talent in 2008.

They appear to have made friends in celebrity circles, with photos of them hanging out with actor Ethan Hawke and singer Pharrell Williams.

Jay-Z sampled one of their songs for his Watch The Throne album in 2011 and was pictured kissing Robert DeNiro at a Vanity Fair party.

“The way we look (in the social media groups) we look like criminals. Hard criminals. My weapon is love,” Gabriela said.

“We are Christians, we are all about promoting love and light.”

As a result of their perceived disruption, a sign has been placed on the playground stating ‘no adults accompanied by a child’, but the couple say they do not intend to cause any harm.

‘It’s a complete false alarm. It’s the opposite,” Mihaela added. ‘We love children incredibly much.’

“Once they have spirituality and love blossoms in their hearts, they will know how to distinguish who is someone who will harm your child and who is filled with love,” she said. “These are challenging, weird times when people are being overly crazy.”

In a statement, the Parks Department said, “We will be increasing our park enforcement officers’ patrols around the playground to provide surveillance.”
