Two women have been charged after dousing a man with petrol and setting him on fire.

Jordan Moore, 26, suffered serious burns to his head, neck and upper body in the suspected targeted attack in the car park of a pub in Harristown, Toowoomba in south-east Queensland, just before 10pm on Wednesday.

CCTV footage shows Mr Moore, a father-of-four, stumbling into the Stock Hotel after being set on fire, where shocked customers rang three zeros.

Two women, aged 31 and 35, have now been charged with one count each of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.

Jordan Moore, 26, suffered serious burns to his head, neck and upper body in the suspected targeted attack in the car park of a pub in Harristown, Toowoomba in south-east Queensland, just before 10pm on Wednesday.

Following the attack, Mr Moore was rushed to Toowoomba Hospital before being airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

He is in serious but stable condition and is intubated.

Queensland Police Detective Acting Inspector Paula Smithard said police believed the attack was targeted.

“I have not encountered anything like this in my career in law enforcement,” she told reporters.

Initial reports indicated that Mr Moore’s car had been stolen by the alleged attackers, and that he was a rideshare driver.

“At this stage I can confirm that he is not an Uber driver or a rideshare driver,” Ms Smithard said.

“That vehicle was not stolen, the vehicle he arrived in was the victim’s vehicle.

Following the alleged attack, Mr Moore was rushed to Toowoomba Hospital before being flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

“That car was there when officers arrived.”

Moore’s father, Barry Moore, recalled the horror of being told by police that his son was in hospital.

“I was just told he was doused and lit, and that’s just wrong,” he said Seven news.

“It’s not a good wake-up call.”

The two accused women were with another man at the time.

They are due to appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Friday.
