EXCLUSIVE: Britney Spears DID have a brief ‘fling’ with ex housekeeper and convicted felon Paul Richard Soliz after her split from Sam Asghari – but broke it off when she learned of his criminal past and ‘no longer has any communication with him’
Britney Spears had a “brief affair” with convicted felon Paul Richard Soliz after splitting from estranged husband Sam Asghari last month – but she broke it off and “lost communication” after learning of his criminal past.
The Toxic singer, 41, was rumored to be dating Paul, 37, a former housekeeper at her Thousand Oaks home, just weeks after Sam, 28, filed for divorce.
Adding to the messages, Paul called his former boss a “phenomenal woman” when questioned by Us Weekly about their relationship as he left a court hearing.
But now a source close to Britney has exclusively told DailyMail.com that ‘Britney is not dating Paul.’
“They had a brief fling after Sam left, but that was it,” they confirmed. ‘Britney had contact with him twice and knew nothing of his criminal history at the time. She no longer has any communication with him.”

According to court documents, Paul committed multiple crimes: one for possession of narcotics for sale and another for possession of a firearm, which occurred in December 2022 while he was employed by the singer.
Other crimes include disturbing the peace, endangering children and driving without a license.
He was in court this week for allegedly violating his probation.
The insider added that Britney’s security team had failed to “conduct a proper background check when hiring Paul,” adding, “WWhen his criminal past recently came to light, his employment with Britney ended.”
The pair were pictured together several times in the wake of her divorce from Sam. The estranged couple had been married for fourteen months.
Britney and Paul were photographed on August 24 getting into a car together and being driven to a local restaurant in Thousand Oaks. They ate and chatted until it closed shortly after midnight.
Their latest interaction took place after Britney’s recent trip to Cabo San Lucas, where she was photographed letting loose with friends.
Paul was on hand to pick up the pop star, who had her dog with her, from the airport.
The insider insists that Britney didn’t know he was picking her up and that it wasn’t something she asked him to do.

‘Britney went to Mexico to have fun and is now enjoying her freedom. At the same time, she is still processing her divorce from Sam and still healing,” the source said.
“Britney is not in a relationship with anyone at the moment. If she starts dating again, it will definitely not be a free-rider and no one will need anything from her but her time.”
DailyMail.com has reached out to Britney’s reps but has not heard back.
On Monday, Paul had only good things to say when asked about his former boss after his court appearance.
He told We weekly: ‘She’s a phenomenal woman. She’s a very, very good, positive… She’s a good person.”
When asked how Britney was doing amid her split from Sam — who filed for divorce on August 16 — Paul said she was “doing great” and that he had nothing bad to say about the model and actor, whom he called a “great guy.”
When asked by us about his criminal past, he said, “I’m not a bad guy. I understand that things have been said about me in the past, and I have a criminal record – I understand that.
‘I’m a working man. I have my own company. I make a recognized contractor technology tile.’

Page six reported that Paul was a “shoulder to cry on” in the aftermath of her divorce from Sam, claiming that the pair “formed a close bond and spent time together.”
They also suggested that people close to Britney were “concerned” about her relationship with the housekeeper, who was hired to “clean toilets, mop floors and pick up trash” in her $12 million home.
TMZ reported that Sam caught Britney cheating with a housekeeper, but did not say who. Sources told DailyMail.com at the time that Sam’s allegations were ‘false’.
After news of their divorce broke, the Grammy winner said she was “a little shocked.”
Due to an ironclad prenup in Britney’s favor, Sam doesn’t get a big payday.
She was previously married to Jason Allen Alexander for a short period in 2004, and later moved on to Kevin Federline, whom she tied the knot with in 2005.
They had sons Sean, 17, and Jayden, 16, before their divorce in 2007.
