EXCLUSIVE: Aaron Rodgers adds new privacy driveway to $9.5million New Jersey mansion one day after tearing his Achilles – before cops and fire engines are seen outside the property

Construction work to fortify Aaron Rodgers’ New Jersey mansion began Tuesday hours before police and firefighters checked the property – a day after the New York Jets quarterback ruptured his Achilles tendon.

Rodgers, 39, bought the stunning $9.5 million home in the summer as he began settling in New Jersey ahead of the start of the NFL season.

In photos exclusively for DailyMail.com, dozens of landscaping crews descended on the house to get to work in the front garden on Tuesday.

Hours later, emergency services were seen outside the property with fire trucks and police cars with their lights on, parked in the driveway and road, in photos for DailyMail.com.

Two firefighters were spotted walking through the driveway, while a police officer exited the front door of the mansion.

They checked something in the home before leaving the building after about 20 minutes.

A spokesperson for Cedar Grove Police told DailyMail.com that the call came from another property down the street and that no fire had actually broken out.

Earlier in the day, a Rodgers car was seen leaving the building, but it was unclear if the quarterback was inside.

The former Green Bay Packers star appeared to add an extra level of privacy to the home earlier in the day as workers built a rock wall surrounding the property.

New posts have been added to the driveway to make way for a new privacy gate, which opens and closes when Rodgers leaves or arrives at the property.

In August, sources told Dailymail.com that Rodgers had purchased an eight-bedroom, 10-bathroom mansion. According to property records, the home sold in late June for $9,500,000 — just a small portion of the former Green Bay Packer’s $75 million deal with the Jets.

Located in Montclair, New Jersey – just a 20-minute drive from MetLife Stadium – the home offers panoramic views of the New York City skyline.

Minutes into the game, he dropped back on first down from the Jets’ 43-yard line and attempted to roll out to his left before being sacked by Leonard Floyd for a loss of 10 yards. But his left foot appeared to get stuck in the Jets’ grass as he was being tackled.

He appeared to injure his left ankle and immediately went to the medical tent before being carted off the field.

After an MRI scan Tuesday, it was confirmed that the four-time MVP had ruptured his Achilles tendon, ruling him out of the season.

Zach Wilson came in against the Bills and led them to a 22-16 win, but the Jets must now decide whether to rely on the 23-year-old to start the remainder of the season or bring in another veteran quarterback.
