The Duchess of Sussex, 42, boarded a plane from LAX to Heathrow last night, accompanied by a single bodyguard who carried some of her bags and clothes.
Leaving Archie and Lilibet at home, the mother-of-two was whisked into LAX last night in a white luxury BMW, hours after she was spotted behind the wheel of her $140,000 black Range Rover as she grabbed a burger from In and out close to the Sussexes’ $14.6 million Montecito home.
When she arrived at the airport just before 6 p.m., she stepped out of her limousine with a grin, wearing white flats, black baggy three-quarter pants, a long-sleeved V-neck top and large sunglasses on her head. with a distinctive hat. She will probably jump on a BA flight to Düsseldorf this afternoon, where her husband will be present every day at the Invictus Games, which end on Friday.
Meghan will support Harry and the athletes at events ahead of his big speech at the closing ceremony, where she will also address the crowd.

The Duke of Sussex, 38, was walking alongside his security team – including former US presidential bodyguard Chris Sanchez and ex-police officer Dave Langdown – when the two boys raised their hands for a high-five.
After Harry happily obliged, the children – one of whom was dressed in a Union Jack – jumped up and down excitedly, with one raising his fist in celebration.
The prince was given a hero’s welcome in Germany by visitors to the annual competition he founded in 2014 for wounded and disabled military veterans.
Harry, who is fifth in line for the throne, also posed for photos with competitors and was in a boisterous mood as he sang along.
The Duke was cheered by the crowd as he took his seat in the stands of the Merkur Spiel-Arena in Düsseldorf.
As competitors took part in a 200m race, Harry could be seen holding his hands over his mouth and cheering along with the crowd.
He sat next to Yulia Laputina, Ukraine’s Minister of Veterans Affairs, who wore a green military uniform and draped her country’s flag over her shoulders.
Harry said he plans to attend as many events as possible during the weeklong competition.
At the wheelchair basketball event, a revolving door of dignitaries sat next to the prince, including NASA Administrator Bill Nelson.
Harry’s wife Meghan is expected to meet some of the children attending the event when she arrives at the Games later this week.
She and Harry are staying in the presidential suite of the waterfront hotel where they will celebrate his 39th birthday on Friday.
This year the competition runs until Saturday.

A total of 550 sick, injured and wounded former and current military personnel from 21 countries participate in ten team and individual sports.
Team UK, led by Royal Navy submarine officer Lieutenant Commander James Rogers, is supported by the Royal British Legion in partnership with the Ministry of Defense.
Harry revealed at the opening ceremony on Saturday that Meghan will cheer on Nigeria at this year’s Games after discovering she is of Nigerian descent.
The Duke said that while the Sussexes are not ‘playing favourites’, the discovery means things are likely to become ‘a little more competitive’ between the pair.
Meanwhile, Harry took part in a penalty shootout on German television on Saturday – and lost without scoring a goal.
The duke, along with German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius and two athletes from the Invictus Games, were involved in the challenge on the TV channel ZDF.
