Family day out! Crown Princess Victoria enjoys annual children’s race day in Stockholm with husband Prince Daniel and seven-year-old Prince Oscar

Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden looked in good spirits as she enjoyed a day out with her family at the annual children’s sports day in Stockholm.

The heir, 46, cut a demure figure as she donned jeans, white trainers and a crossbody bag today.

She also wore a blue T-shirt with ‘Generation Pep Sweden’ written on it as she walked alongside her youngest son, Prince Oscar, aged seven.

The young royal wore casual clothes: a red cap worn backwards, a plain blue T-shirt, shorts and some sneakers.

The annual meeting took place in Hagaparken, north of Stockholm – a green open space full of lawns, forests and gardens.

The heir apparent was accompanied by her husband Prince Daniel, 49, who also dressed for the occasion in a Pep Day polo neck and Pep Day branded jeans.

The Crown Princess, who opted for natural make-up, wore her hair in a practical bun and wore stylish sunglasses.

Throughout the day, Victoria and Daniel were spotted mingling with members of the Swedish public.

The family beamed as they posed for photos with other children at the annual gathering.

The family was visiting Stockholm for the city’s Pep Day, which features the Prince Daniel’s Race alongside several free activities for children.

The event, initiated by the Swedish royal family, is organized by non-profit organization Generation Pep and aims to promote physical activity among children.

They are a part of the Swedish Crown Princess Couple Foundation and their efforts are led by operations manager, former top athlete Carolina Klüft.

The organization has existed since 2016 and was founded at the initiative of the Swedish Crown Princess Couple.

Late last month, Prince Daniel denied in a rare television interview that there was infidelity in his marriage and that the couple was ever on the brink of divorce.

He lashed out at those spreading the suggestions on social media and in parts of the Swedish press, saying the claims had had “serious consequences” for his family.

“Many friends from all over Sweden and abroad contacted us and things came to a point where we felt we could no longer accept it,” he revealed.

“I don’t think any sane person would believe this rumor.”

Victoria and Daniel, who share two children, Princess Estelle, 11, and Prince Oscar, seven, celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary this year.

Daniel, a former gym owner, born Olof Daniel Westling, met Victoria while training before the pair started dating in 2002.

The couple announced their long-awaited engagement in 2009 and tied the knot a year later.

Sweden’s royal court was forced to deny reports last year that an “incredible betrayal” had plunged Victoria and Daniel’s marriage into crisis.

It took the unusual step of issuing a statement denying the ‘extensive negative rumours’, saying: ‘We would like to make it clear once and for all that the rumors now circulating are completely unfounded. ‘

A statement on the couple’s Instagram read: ‘It has come to our attention that there are widespread negative rumors regarding our private relationship.

‘There are accusations of betrayal in the relationship and an impending divorce.

‘We normally do not comment on rumors and speculation. But to protect our family, we want to make it clear once and for all that the rumors currently circulating are completely unfounded.’

However, the Swedish news site Stoppa Pressarna doubled down on the reports.

Daniel Nyhlen, the reporter who first published the claims, emphasized: “We had very credible informants, including special police guards and other personnel close to the couple.”
