Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion have been invited to appear at the upcoming 2023 MTV Video Music Awards.

It was announced on Saturday that the 30-year-old Bronx native and 28-year-old Texan – who just released their new single Bongos – will take the stage to perform the tune at the annual awards ceremony.

The event, which will air live from the Prudential Center in New Jersey on September 12 at 8pm EST, will be hosted by Nicki Minaj.

Bongos is the follow-up to their 2020 smash hit WAP, which they performed at the 2021 VMAs.

Other acts set to perform during this year’s production include Anitta, Demi Lovato, Doja Cat, Karol G, Kelsea Ballerini, Lil Wayne and Olivia Rodrigo.

This weekend, Cardi dropped by Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the Bongos music video.

The mother-of-two wrote in the caption to her 168 million followers: “A lil bts….”

The post has already racked up more than a million likes from the New Yorker’s loyal fan base.

And on Friday, Megan delighted fans when she shared several stunning photos from the set of the video.

In the caption, she used a lyric from one of her verses in the song, writing, “The way they look at me gotta make money.”

Like Cardi’s most recent upload, Megan’s was also double-clicked more than a million times.

Before the drum-heavy track was released on Friday, the ladies spent the week getting fans excited for it.

In separate Instagram posts, the two Grammy-winning artists shared different versions of the single’s artwork with followers.

One post showed the women lying on their sides in brightly colored fishnet bodysuits as Cardi teased, “BONGOS next Friday.”

The trendsetting hitmakers stayed true to their signature sexy branding as they posed in an interlocking pose.

Cardi – born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar – wore a purple version of the one-piece look, while Megan was in green.
