Jets fans are outraged at the possibility of missing Aaron Rodgers’ debut for the team Monday night, while Spectrum and Disney are locked in a carriage dispute.
Spectrum, the largest cable company in New York, currently does not show all ESPN Network channels because the company is owned by Disney.
And now the season opener of the Jets vs. the Bills were to air on ESPN on Monday, nearly 15 million customers could miss the game.
“Figure it out,” tweeted a fan at Spectrum. “Jets fans have been looking forward to this for months.”
“Get ESPN back on Spectrum/Charter right now!” another fan raged at Disney in a tweet.
“When I think of Disney, I think of Bambi and Jiminy Cricket; don’t screw that up and make me think about missing Rodgers’ first game as a Jet.”

According to the New York PostSpectrum has 3.5 million customers in New York, and about 1.5 million Spectrum customers no longer have access to Disney channels.
The game will still be available to fans with a digital antenna, while paid streaming services like Hulu Live TV+, fuboTV and NFL+ are also an option.
However, the ABC affiliate in the Buffalo market, WKBW, is not owned by Disney, meaning fans there can watch the game using Spectrum.
The outage previously occurred on August 31, in the middle of Carlos Alcaraz’s match against Lloyd Harris at the US Open, with USTA spokesman Chris Widmaier expressing hope that the situation “can be resolved as soon as possible.”

Both Charter Spectrum and Walt Disney Co. say in statements that negotiations have been going on for some time.
In addition to all ESPN Network channels, ABC stations, Disney channels, Freeform, FX and National Geographic channels have also gone dark on Charter Spectrum.
“Disney Entertainment has completed successful deals with pay TV providers of all shapes and sizes across the country, and the rates and terms we seek in this renewal will be determined by the market,” Disney Entertainment said in a statement.
“We are committed to reaching a mutually agreed solution with Charter and we urge them to work with us to minimize disruption to their customers.”
Charter Spectrum responded, “We offered Disney a fair deal, yet they are demanding an excessive increase.”
‘They also want to limit our ability to offer the customer greater choice in program packages, forcing you to take and pay for channels you may not want.
The rising cost of programming is the primary factor in higher cable TV prices, and we are fighting hard to stay in line with the programming rates that companies like Disney impose on us.”
