Meet Dillon Danis: ‘Despicable’ trolling of Logan Paul’s fiancee Nina Agdal, rubbing shoulders with the biggest combat stars in the world and brawling with Khabib

If you’ve logged into X (formerly known as Twitter) in the last two months, you’ve probably seen Dillon Danis’ account pop up on the timeline.

The 30-year-old fighter has gone viral in recent times following his online feud with internet personality Logan Paul ahead of their scheduled boxing match in October.

However, the online jokes were rather one-sided in favor of Danis, who regularly targeted Paul’s fiancée Nina Agdal in the build-up to their fight.

The jiu-jitsu star posted a number of photos and videos of Agdal on Twitter, including an X-rated video in which Agdal discussed her sexual desires.

But who is Dillon Danis? Why is he relevant in the martial arts world? And what did he say about Logan Paul’s fiancée? Mail Sport answers all that below.

DANIS ‘CANNOT DO A PUSH-UP’

It’s almost unlikely that the likes of Conor McGregor and other UFC legends would train with someone who once “couldn’t do a push-up,” but that’s exactly the case with Danis.

The New Jersey native began his martial arts career at the age of 15, when he began training in jiu-jitsu and, soon after, wrestling.

Training soon became his whole life and in an interview with the Daily Record he explained that at school ‘all I thought about was training’.

After years of training, Danis moved to New York at the age of 19 to actively pursue a career in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

He competed in numerous high-level tournaments before finally receiving his black belt at the age of 21 – which is a seriously impressive feat.

Meeting with MCGREGOR

After building a solid reputation within the jiu-jitsu and wrestling communities, he slowly transitioned into the mixed martial arts scene in 2016.

His first port of call, in the MMA scene, would be to help UFC legend Conor McGregor train for his highly anticipated rematch with Nate Diaz in August of that year.

McGregor, who recently received his own Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt this week, was submitted by his American counterpart during their first meeting before opting to work in Danis.

Ultimately, his decision to call on the New Jersey star paid off as McGregor triumphed over Diaz and rarely found himself in a vulnerable position on the ground.

Following their success together in that fight, Danis became part of McGregor’s coaching team and was regularly seen alongside the Irishman as they traveled, trained and developed their skills.

His close friendship with McGregor brought Danis into contact with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Drake and Floyd Mayweather, but his moment in the spotlight wouldn’t arrive until 2018, as McGregor prepared to fight Khabib Nurmagomedov.

KHABIB CHAOS

Khabib vs McGregor was without a doubt the biggest event in the UFC in the last decade and both the fight and the events that unfolded lived up to the hype.

In the build-up, McGregor caused chaos after flying to America and launching an attack on Nurmagomedov while the Russian was on a bus.

Coupled with the fiery press conferences, instigated by controversial comments from McGregor, and the bad blood between the two was more than evident.

And when Khabib finally crushed McGregor to claim victory that night, the Russian quickly set his sights on the Irishman’s coaching team.

‘The Eagle’ truly spread his wings as he launched himself over the top of the octagonal cage and leapt into the heart of McGregor’s corner – where Danis waited.

Footage, which later emerged, showed both Nurmagomedov and Danis throwing punches at each other before an all-out brawl broke out.

For his actions during the brawl, Danis was subsequently fined $7,500 and suspended for seven months following the incident.

YOUTUBE BOXING

After the defeat to Khabib, McGregor’s UFC career began to stagnate and Danis appeared less in the media.

However, that all changed in November last year when Danis was announced as a surprise boxing opponent for British YouTuber KSI – who has led the crossover boxing scene.

Danis appeared at a press conference for that event and caused chaos after throwing coffee in his influencer counterpart’s face.

KSI vs Danis was scheduled as the main event for MF & DAZN’s January event, but 10 days prior to the fight it was confirmed that Danis would be replaced.

Sources later claimed that Danis “wasn’t well prepared, he (Danis) doesn’t have a coach, he might be struggling with his weight.”

FIGHTING PAUL AND ATTACKING AGDAL

And so, after failing to organize a fight with KSI, Danis turned to British business partner Logan Paul.

Paul and Danis will face off on the undercard of KSI’s fight with Tommy Fury in October and the build-up is intriguing to say the least.

The jiu-jitsu star posted a number of photos and videos of Paul’s fiancée Nina Agdal to Twitter, including an X-rated video of Agdal discussing her sexual desires.

In response, Agdal sued Danis and filed for a restraining order, saying her fiancé’s opponent had posted “despicable” things about her more than 250 times since the fight was announced and that she had suffered humiliation, emotional distress and reputational damage .

Agdal, a former Victoria’s Secret model, is seeking unspecified damages but not less than £120,000 ($150,000) per violation of the federal law banning the sharing of intimate images.

She claimed that an August 11 post shared by Danis specifically violated federal and state law.

The post, she claims, contained a sexually explicit image of her during a “romantic encounter” she had with someone more than a decade ago.

“Danis posted the photo – completely uncensored – from his X account (Twitter), without plaintiff’s consent,” Agdal wrote in the lawsuit. “Later that day, Danis reposted the explicit photo to maximize views.”

The 31-year-old claimed Danis only agreed to delete the post after the organizers of his fight with Paul, Misfits Boxing, threatened to cancel the showdown unless he deleted it.

Danis responded to the lawsuit via X, telling his followers that he couldn’t comment much at this time.

“Nina Adgel has filed a huge lawsuit against me,” Danis wrote. “She has filed a restraining order against me and is seeking jail time, so the fight is in jeopardy if I’m in jail. This is actually wild, but I won’t stop the system from coming for me. Logan Paul is a dead man walking.

“I will provide more details when I can, but because it is a federal matter I cannot do that at this time. PS f*** that h*e… Nina Agdal will be called Karen Agdal until further notice.”
