Two men have been seriously injured after being blown out of a car at high speed in a horror crash on a race track.

The incident happened at around 5.30pm on Friday at the Queensland Raceway in Willowbank near Ipswich, south-east Queensland.

Footage of the shocking crash shows the race car veering off the side of the track after the driver lost control of the vehicle.

The vehicle then rolls over several times before leaving the ground and landing upside down on a grassy area at the side of the track.

The video, taken by a passenger in another vehicle, captured the terrifying moment a man was thrown from the yellow car.

“He fell out of the car,” the driver of the other vehicle said as the car crashed.

“He fell out of the car, buddy!”

The male passenger in the front seat said, “Oh man, I can’t deal with that.”

In the chaotic scenes, part of the front of the car could be seen flying off the vehicle.

Plumes of smoke and dirt could be seen coming from the car after it left the track.

Paramedics from the Queensland Ambulance Service arrived on scene and treated the men for their injuries.

A man, believed to be aged between 45 and 50, was flown to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition after suffering serious head, chest and pelvic injuries.

Another man, believed to be 35 years old, was taken to hospital after suffering chest, shoulder and pelvic injuries.

The crash victims were seriously injured after the vehicle veered off the track, causing a man to be thrown from the vehicle.

Queensland Police said in a statement they were investigating the incident.

Initial information suggests a vehicle rolled over at a race track near Champions Way around 5:30 p.m.

‘The Forensic Crash Unit is assisting Workplace Health and Safety with investigations.’

It was believed the injured men were racing a Holden Torana at a racing show known as PowerCruise.

The PowerAuto Powercruise is an event where drivers can race their cars on various race tracks in Australia.

In a statement posted on their Facebook page on Friday, organizers said the four-day event running through Sunday would go ahead “as planned.”

Emergency services arrived at the scene following the crash before the two men were taken to hospital with serious injuries while Queensland Police investigate the incident.

The car show, which is supported by SuperCheap Auto, hosts races at various race tracks in Australia.
