An Asian foreigner living in Colombia recently woke up in a clinic after being robbed in his apartment by a woman he met on a dating app.
The man, whose name has been withheld, met one of the women through an online dating app and made plans to take her to a restaurant in the southwestern city of Cali, according to Colombian outlet Noticias Caracol.
However, the woman replied that she did not want to leave her niece at home alone and asked if they could come to his home instead and try dishes from his native country.
He agreed to entertain the women at his home and they suggested he order dinner.

A male foreign national from Asia told Colombian new outlet Noticias Caracol that the women used his debit card to treat themselves to a $3,890 shopping spree, spending $1,490 on a ring.
The man recalled using his debit card to pay for the delivery before blacking out.
“From that moment on I have no memory,” he told the channel.

The suspects went shopping and charged $3,890 to his card. They spent at least $1,490 for a ring at a jewelry store.
The man was found unconscious in his apartment by a friend who feared he was not answering her calls.

He was taken to a local clinic, where he was observed for three days until he woke up and learned what had happened.
Now he is asking Cali authorities for help in tracking down the women and recovering the money fraudulently charged to his card.
‘It’s not fair (because) the bank should have a precaution (warning), a plan, and as a jewelry store (they should have seen) how strange a ring worth 6 million pesos is, how can they sell it without checking ( identification ),’ he said.
