Mindy Kaling enjoys the great outdoors with her two young kids on glamping trip to Montana

That’s not often Mindy Kaling shares images of her two children for all to see.

But after camping under the stars in the state of Montana, with all of its beautiful natural landscapes and habitats, The Office star couldn’t resist teasing her 6.5 million Instagram fans and followers with a bundle of photos and videos that were made during the trip.

Kaling, 44, shared the outdoor experience with daughter Katherine, five, and son Spence, two, along with several others who were family or close friends.

Montana has it all. River rafting, hiking, the Blackfoot River, campfires, s’mores and the entire remains of a deer skeleton. That’s all you can ask for,” she boasted of the state in the caption of her post.

The actress, comedian, screenwriter and producer documented much of what she wrote in the caption with photos or video, including when the group came across the deer skeleton while out in nature. Her two young children look mesmerized as they stood over the bones next to some adults who made the trip.

The vast area where the group camped was beautifully captured with a shot of Kaling standing on the dock of a beautiful lake, and another of her lounging on a large rock in one of the region’s many rivers and streams.

There is also a fragment of her little girl pretending to fly by stretching her arms out to her like wings as she walks along a rock bottom towards a small stream.

And what would a camping trip be without a bonfire where you can cook sweet treats like marshmallows and s’mores?

A small fire could be seen burning in a well next to a brick house.

Of course, those fires always come in handy to whip up some BBQ classics, along with a few other healthy dishes that she showed off in one of her photos taken while eating outside on a picnic bench.

Showing filmmaking skills, the creator and star of The Mindy Project gave viewers another incredible view of the landscape by capturing a clip as she walked out of a tent. As soon as she got outside, she started taking in a pan of hills, mountains and trees.

She also seemed to brag about her s’more skills with a photo of herself holding up one of her creations that she made in the fire pit, which was seen even higher up in another photo.

The mom-of-two also posted a video of the various ingredients used to make her s’mores, including marshmallows, Hershey’s chocolate, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, and graham crackers.

And in a final image, her daughter Katherine played a little hide and seek behind a white bathrobe that hung in one of the rooms.

Kaling, 44, has never come out publicly to reveal the father of her two children, although many have speculated that it was BJ Novak, who co-starred with her in The Office.

The Waltham, Massachusetts native has never been bothered by all the talk about Novak being a dad, in part because of the long and respectful friendship they’ve had since meeting on set.

Early in their run on The Office as stars and writers, the pair dated from 2004 to 2007, and have remained close friends ever since.

That close relationship led her to ask Novak to be godfather to both of her children, which added another speculation that her former boyfriend and longtime best friend is the father of her two children.

Rumors: Many people have speculated that ex-boyfriend and colleague BJ Novak, 44, is the father of her two children, which she has never confirmed, though she acknowledges that she had named him godfather to her children; they are seen in March 2023

“It doesn’t bother me,” Kaling said of all the rumors in an interview with Mary Claire. “He’s the godparent to both of my kids, and they have such a great relationship.”

Kaling went on to explain that at no point did the rumors “affect my happiness at all, it didn’t affect my kids or BJ… If that’s what will make people tantalizing then I accept it.”

She also gave high praise to her close friend, revealing that he’s “really good with kids!” He literally wrote a bestseller called The Book With No Pictures for children.’

“It comes very naturally to him, you know, like being with kids,” she added. “So he’s a great godfather.”
