Baby critically injured in Mackay in suspected domestic violence attack and rushed to Moranbah Hospital

A seven-week-old baby has been hospitalized in central Queensland following alleged domestic violence.

Queensland Police launched an investigation into the incident after the baby was taken to a hospital in Moranbah, 190 kilometers southwest of Mackay, with significant injuries on Tuesday.

Officers arrested a 23-year-old Moranbah man on Wednesday and charged him with grievous bodily harm and domestic violence.

He is expected to appear before the Moranbah Magistrates Court today, Thursday 7 September.
