Bruce Springsteen, 73, is left ‘heartbroken’ as he POSTPONES the rest of his September shows to get treatment for ‘peptic ulcer disease’

Bruce Springsteen was left “heartbroken” after having to postpone the rest of his September shows due to health concerns.

The music icon, 73, announced he will be taking another break from touring as he is undergoing treatment for “symptoms of stomach ulcers”.

The message on the singer’s account read: “Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band have postponed all performances currently scheduled for September 2023, beginning with tomorrow’s show scheduled for the JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse, NY.”

‘Mr. Springsteen is being treated for symptoms of a stomach ulcer and his medical advisors have decided to postpone the rest of his September shows.”

Springsteen commented, “Here on E Street, we’re heartbroken to have to postpone these shows.”

A second slide of the message informed fans that ticket holders “will receive information about rescheduled dates for the postponed shows.”

Bruce and the E Street Band were scheduled to perform in Syracuse, New York, on Thursday, though it doesn’t seem likely he’ll make it.

His other upcoming performances in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Ohio, New York and Washington DC are also currently on hold.

Peptic ulcer disease “occurs when open sores or sores form in the stomach or first part of the small intestine,” according to Cleveland Clinic.

“Many cases of stomach ulcers develop because a bacterial infection eats away at the protective lining of the digestive system. People who regularly use painkillers are more likely to develop stomach ulcers.’

Treatment for stomach ulcers may include medication or surgery.

In August, he postponed two concerts in Philadelphia after “falling ill.”

His tour consists of 37 shows in 32 locations.

Springsteen is a twenty-time Grammy Award winner and has hits like Born to Run, Dancing in the Dark and Glory Days.

He has released twenty studio albums in his sixty-year career.

His most recent studio album with E Street Band’s – Letter To You, which topped the charts in eleven countries – marked their first live recording in decades.

Springsteen is one of the world’s best-selling artists – in addition to his Grammys, he has two Golden Globes, an Oscar and a Special Tony Award to his name.

He was also inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

In May, Springsteen inadvertently made his show in Amsterdam fans won’t soon forget after taking a major fall on stage.

The I’m On Fire singer got the jitters from fans when he tripped and fell after climbing several steps on stage.

Fans watched as The Boss rolled onto his back and lay on the floor with his guitar still in hand before his concerned colleagues promptly rushed over to help him.

His guitarist stepped in to remove his instrument, while two concert workers manually hoisted Bruce back onto his feet.

Fortunately, the fall didn’t unnerve Bruce too much. To ease his fans’ concerns, Bruce gave a quick smile before addressing the audience.

Risk factors that increase the likelihood of stomach ulcers include: A family history of stomach ulcers, Regular alcohol consumption, smoking, frequent use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), a group of common pain relievers including ibuprofen (Advil® or Motrin®).

Symptoms of ulcers include: bloating, heartburn, burning pain in the middle or upper abdomen between meals or at night, nausea or vomiting.
