- Wiltshire Police analyzed the driver of the van and found him twice over the limit
An ice cream man was arrested for exceeding the drunk driving limit more than twice after being pulled over for driving without a seatbelt.
Mariusz Kekus, 40, of Mascroft Road, Trowbridge, was apprehended at the Hopton Industrial Estate in Devizes, Wiltshire before being ventilated at the roadside.
The roadside breath test revealed that the driver of the van had 90 mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath – a rate that is more than twice the current limit in Britain.
UK law makes it illegal for drivers to operate a vehicle with more than 35 mcg of alcohol per 100 ml of breath.
Kekus was charged with driving under the influence and driving without a seatbelt and will appear before Salisbury Magistrates’ Court on September 29.
