Full list of 52 Wilko stores closing next week REVEALED… is YOUR local store closing?

Managers of troubled retailer Wilko today revealed the locations of 52 stores that will close after failing to reach a rescue deal for the beleaguered retail chain.

PwC, which was appointed last month to oversee the insolvency, said it remains in talks with parties interested in buying the remaining stores, a company not yet snapped up by retail rival B&M.

It comes a day after B&M bought a whopping 51 other Wilko stores in a deal worth an estimated £13 million.

Administrators added that “it is possible that further store closures are sadly necessary” depending on talks with the remaining suitors.

It is clear that HMV owner Doug Putman is still in talks with PwC over a possible deal to save a significant number of stores.

The series of closures next week will lead to 1,016 layoffs, while the company has also announced hundreds of new job cuts for warehouse and service center staff.
