The trailer for Hulu’s new sci-fi thriller movie will give you nightmares about alien spiders
The first trailer for a new sci-fi horror thriller movie from Hulu has popped up online, and it’s the kind of teaser that makes you yell “no” to the screen.
Titled No one will save youone of the new 2023 Hulu movies will debut on Disney’s streaming service on Friday, September 22. At the time of writing, that’s less than three weeks away, so it’s about time we found out more about this curious film.
Well, at least that’s what we thought until the teaser trailer showed up. The movie, which airs on Hulu in the US, as well as Disney Plus in the UK and Australia, is chock-full of nightmares of all kinds, including a spindly spider-like alien. No. Just no. Watch the trailer below:
Yes, it was bad enough knowing that the main antagonist of the movie – the aforementioned alien – seems to have telekinetic and mind-control abilities. We see these powers in action at various points in the trailer, such as the alien removing some nails without touching them and ordering a group of humans to stand eerily still in a garden.
However, it’s the last shot of the trailer, when we see the alien spider creature racing behind protagonist Brynn (Kaitlyn Dever), that upsets us. We were thinking of the home invasion-based sci-fi thriller Signs was nerve-racking enough, but this? Kill. It. Of. Firework.
But enough talk about the terrifying aliens. What’s No one will save you actually about? In summary, Brynn, a woman living alone in her childhood home, is forced to defend her whereabouts when a group of unearthly visitors suddenly invade her hometown. So yeah, it’s more M Night Shyamalan’s Signs than that of Jordan Peele Noeven though both movies are also based on aliens invading our planet.

No one will save you is written and directed by Brian Duffield, whose previous work includes Netflix’s 2023 animated series Skull Islandthe 2020 science fiction horror Underwaterand this year’s cult classic comedy-horror Cocaine bear. Dever, who has appeared in numerous movies and TV shows, including Smart book, Rosaline, Dope sickAnd Last man standingis the film’s only confirmed star.
Can we expect to see No one will save you invading our best Hulu movies and/or best Disney Plus movies lists? Maybe. Duffield’s past projects have varied in quality over the years, so it’s unclear whether his latest venture will be a success. But as Halloween looms on the horizon, No one will save youIts late September release positions it perfectly as a pre-spooky season movie. And with the movie debuting on two of the world’s top streaming services, Duffield and company have the advantage of two user bases to tap into.
Let’s hope it’s as compelling as other recent Hulu movie releases like Prey And Flamin’ Hotand not something as poorly received as Holiday Friends 2.
