Ben Foster insists Jadon Sancho should never have played for Manchester United again under Sir Alex Ferguson after his social media tirade.
Sancho hit back at claims by Erik ten Hag that he had been dropped from the squad against Arsenal for his performance in training, saying he had been made a ‘scapegoat’.
Ten Hag is expected to have clear conversations with Sancho after the public disagreement.
However, former United keeper Foster says Sancho’s comments would not have had any effect had Ferguson still been in charge at Old Trafford.
He told The United Stand: “If Alex Ferguson is manager of Manchester United right now, and Jadon Sancho is doing this, he will never see the light of day for Man United again.

“He will never play for this club, he will never be allowed on the training ground, it’s done mate.”
The recently retired keeper added: “I understand when (former) players say they would do the same, that’s great, you can do that if you want, but it’s not going to help you.
“It’s irritable, it’s reactive, it’s emotional, it’s disrespectful, it’s just going to be a huge news storm.
“Everyone wants to know: what’s wrong with Sancho? How are Ten Hag doing? Has he lost the locker room? How was Sancho’s training this week?
“Sancho says he put in a lot of effort in training, that’s fantastic, you should put in a lot of effort, that’s the minimum.”
Ferguson famously got into a row with a number of players at Old Trafford, with the likes of Roy Keane, Ruud van Nistelrooy, David Beckham and Jaap Stam all leaving the club not long after disagreements with the boss.
The 23-year-old came off the bench in United’s opening three games of the season, but was left out altogether during the Red Devils’ 3-1 defeat to Arsenal.
After Ten Hag claimed that Sancho had been cut due to his level of training, Sancho fired back on Sunday night: ‘Please don’t believe everything you read!

Sancho also claimed in his online post that he had been made a “scapegoat.”
“I will not allow people to say things that are completely untrue. This week I behaved very well during training.
“I believe there are other reasons for this issue which I will not go into. I have been a scapegoat for a long time, which is not fair!
“All I want is to play football with a smile on my face and contribute to the team. I respect all decisions made by the coaching staff, I play with great players and I am thankful for that, which I know is a challenge every week. Either way, I’ll keep fighting for this badge!’
Sancho joined United in the summer of 2021 for £73 million and has scored 12 goals in 82 appearances for the Red Devils.
