Danica Patrick revealed on Sunday evening that she was trapped at Burning Man – along with some 75,000 others.

The popular arts festival, held annually in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert, was marred this year by severe flooding that left festival-goers stranded.

And former NASCAR star Patrick revealed on her Instagram story that she was there in the muddy lot before she managed to pull off.

‘It worked. I got stuck three times and it lasted four hours… but on the curb,” she wrote, sharing a photo from a news report.

“The challenge of the weather really helped show the true nature of everyone at BM and it was to step up and help each other. It’s an alternate reality where everyone gives what they can and no money is exchanged.”

Too bad this can’t be our full reality, but for now…. It’s a magical week in the desert. Or swamp this year.’

The crisis was triggered by a fierce storm that swept across the west coast last week, hitting the normally dry region on Friday evening with up to three months of rain in less than 24 hours. A shelter order was then announced by the organizers the following day.

Roads in and out of the Black Rock Desert have been closed since Saturday, prompting officials to warn attendees to conserve food and water.

The desert floor was turned into a thick, clayey mud that has caused travel chaos for tens of thousands of revelers.

The White House said President Biden was briefed on Saturday about the situation, which arose after a participant died from causes “unrelated to the weather.”

In addition to Patrick, Diplo and Chris Rock were among the other celebrities at Burning Man this year, with the pair eventually getting a ride on a pickup truck.
