Double gold Olympic swimming medalist Adam Peaty has reportedly received wounds for a facial injury he sustained during a fight with a teammate.
The feud between Peaty and his colleague, Luke Greenbank, reportedly flared up after the former slapped the other on the back and made a comment about his teammate’s girlfriend.
Greenbank retaliated and made Peaty’s face bleed, after which medical attention was provided, as reported by police. Sun.
The comment that sparked Greenbank’s anger was reportedly about his girlfriend and Olympic gold medalist Anna Hopkin.
The 27-year-old was previously in a relationship with Peaty before the pair stopped seeing each other. Since then, she has been working with Greenbank for two years.

The heated argument between the two Team GB stars took place at Loughborough University, where the pair trained with each other and other teammates.
Coaches treated the injured start on the field before Peaty and Greenbank shook hands after being persuaded to do so by those surrounding the incident.

Peaty took a break from swimming earlier in March as he tried to focus on his mental health and wellbeing.
He separated from the mother of his two-year-old son George, Eiri Munro, in August last year before starting his latest relationship and has since returned to swimming.
The 28-year-old has won eight world championships in addition to his Olympic titles and is widely hailed as the greatest breaststroke swimmer in history.
Greenbank and Peaty have previously competed side by side in Team GB relay races and even won silver in the 100m individual medley at the Tokyo Olympics.
