So I decided to walk up to them and ask her, “How was the meeting today, dear?”
She looked at me and said, “It was nice, I’ll tell you more about it in a few hours when we get home”. I replied with “great, I’ll pick up your favorite for dinner”.
“The two boys hurriedly left and she said to me, ‘You have no idea how much that meant to me… thank you.’
“I said, ‘You’re welcome ma’am… you can never be too careful.”
‘I made sure the boys left before I walked back to my car and as I walked back all I could think’. I hope someday a man will do that for my future daughter.’
Many people rushed to the comments to praise Cody for his quick thinking, with some saying he “saved her life.”
