EXCLUSIVE: Ozzy Osbourne’s family share promising health update amid Parkinson’s AND surgery recovery – as daughter Kelly reveals he HASN’T lost his sense of humor

Ozzy Osbourne’s loving family has shared a promising update on his health, showing that he is “alive” despite a spate of recent worrying setbacks.

It’s been a tumultuous few years for the 74-year-old Black Sabbath rocker, who announced in 2020 that he had been diagnosed with a form of Parkinson’s disease, Parkin 2, which affects the nerves in the body.

More recently, however, Ozzy was forced to take a break from touring in February of this year following extensive spinal surgery because he was “physically incapable” of the travel involved.

He had previously fallen at home in 2019, exacerbating his injuries after a near-fatal quad bike accident in 2003.

Ozzy Osbourne’s daughter Kelly has revealed that despite his spate of health issues, the rocker still had a zest for life

In July, Ozzy made the “painful” decision to cancel a scheduled performance at California’s Power Trip festival because his body was “not ready” and he didn’t want his show to be “half ass.”

Shedding light on Ozzy’s current health ahead of the September 12 release of The Osbournes Podcast, daughter Kelly, 38, said: ‘He has Parkinson’s and terrible spine surgery and he’s still getting up every day, still making music, and is still going on. singing lessons….’

Wife Sharon, 70, who married her rock star husband in Hawaii in 1982, added, “You know, he’s living his life.”

The mother and daughter duo also shared that despite his series of misadventures, Ozzy’s sense of humor had not diminished.

“He’s on a real alien kick right now,” Kelly revealed. “I came down this morning to get a bottle for the baby because I was staying with my parents for the past few weeks and I watched him live court hearings on the UFO trials. It’s six o’clock in the morning!’

Kelly is currently living back with her parents to get some extra help for her little one, though she often has to wait for her dad.

“Essentially, I’m my father’s b**** in that sense. He wants me to do everything anytime of the day,” she said.

“Ozzy will text Kelly to have takeout delivered,” Sharon added. “He calls Kelly, Kelly orders it for him. She’s like his in-house waitress.”

“Everything he’s discovered on YouTube, he wants me to look him up and new books… he’s very funny,” Kelly continued.

Kelly – who welcomed baby son Sidney nine months ago with her boyfriend, Slipknot star Sid Wilson – has said being home with her family has brought her great joy.

Speaking of her little boy, she beamed: “He really makes my dad very happy.

“You know, he has his daddy minutes where he gets up in the morning and sits with my dad, and every night before he goes to bed, he sits with my dad.

“And he makes him laugh, and it’s just like that: they love each other.”

The Osbournes Podcast is about to make a triumphant return, some five years after the last episode came out.

The new series consists of twenty episodes, in which Ozzy, Sharon, Kelly and Jack sit in their living room to discuss everything from Emmy memories to pop culture, current events and mental health.

“Some days Daddy didn’t make it because he wasn’t feeling well or something,” Sharon revealed.

“But Ozzy’s done about 20 of his own shows with his friend Billy Morrison, and they discuss everything from nuclear bombs to squirrels.”

Kelly revealed that comedian and actress Margaret Cho, 54, also featured.

“She kind of surprised me with how much she knows about crime and criminal investigations and various serial killers. And that was very interesting,” she said.

In July, Ozzy himself said he was “struggling through his health issues” and had recently had a filter removed from his vein.

On his Ozzy Speaks SiriusXM channel, he told listeners, “When I had blood clots in my legs, they put a filter in your vein to stop the blood clots from going to your heart and your brain. It sounds worse than it is. So Monday I went to have it removed.

“The blood clots have jammed you all. It’s just disappointment after disappointment. Just make sure you finish this thing so I can get on with my life.”

Ozzy admitted he was in “constant pain,” adding, “I feel like a one-legged man in a game where you have to kick in the butt.” The only thing that keeps me going is making records. But I can’t keep doing that forever.

‘I have to get out of there. I am still in constant pain. I do my best to stay off the pain meds.”

The Osbournes Podcast launches on Tuesday, September 12 on YouTube, Apple, Spotify, Google Play, and Stitcher.
