Priscilla Presley insists she ‘never had sex’ with Elvis when she was aged 14 and admits she found Sofia Coppola’s film version of her memoir ‘difficult’ as she attends starry Venice Film Festival

Priscilla Presley has maintained that she “never had sex” with her late ex-husband Elvis Presley when she was 14 on Monday when she attended the photocall and press conference for Priscilla.

The highly anticipated biopic tells the story of a teenaged Priscilla and her romance with the late King of Rock N Roll Elvis Presley.

Directed by Sofia Coppola, based on Priscilla’s 1985 memoir Elvis And Me, premieres Monday night at the Lido.

Speaking from the audience at the press conference panel for the movie, Priscilla held back tears as she opened up about her late husband and talked about the movie.

According to The Hollywood reportershe admitted, “IIt is very difficult to watch a movie about you, about your life and about your love.

“But Sofia did a fantastic job. She has done her homework. And I really did everything I could for her.’

Priscilla, 78, talked about meeting Elvis when she was just 14 years old, confessing that it’s “It was very difficult for my parents to understand that Elvis would be so interested in me and why.’

However, she defended the Jailhouse Rock singer, denying the couple had sex and insisting she was “older in life than she has been in years.”

She said: ‘Elvis would pour his heart out to me. His hopes, his fears, his loss of his mother. And I was the person who actually sat there to listen to him and comfort him. That was really our connection.

‘Even though I was fourteen, I was older than I had been in years. And that was the attraction. People think, “Oh, it was sex, it was this.” Not at all. I never had sex with him.

“He was very kind, very gentle, very loving. But he also respected the fact that I was only fourteen years old. We were more in thoughts and thoughts and that was our relationship.”

Priscilla previously claimed that Elvis insisted on waiting until they were married to have sex and said in Elvis And Me that she was a virgin until their wedding night.

The businesswoman looked a model of sophistication in black sequin-embroidered trousers.

She paired the sparkly bottoms with a white silk shirt adorned with tiny diamonds.

Priscilla increased her height with a pair of chunky black shoes and carried a floral handbag adorned with intricate beading.

Her fiery red locks were styled down and straight and she hid her eyes behind oversized black sunglasses.

Priscilla posed alongside Sofia and movie stars Jacob Elordi and Cailee Spaeny, who were allowed to walk the red carpet despite the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike.

According to the film, the film secured an interim deal between SAG and AFTRA deadlineas it was filmed in Canada, allowing Jacob, 26, and Cailee, 25, to attend the festival.

Sofia looked effortlessly stylish in a black button-up shirt and matching trousers, secured with a matching belt.

Jacob had a friendly figure in a gray blazer and matching flared trousers over a plain black shirt that was partially unbuttoned.

He wore a pair of shiny black dress shoes and sported facial hair while shielding his eyes behind orange-tinted sunglasses.

Cailee shone in a white off-the-shoulder dress with flounced sleeves and embellished with a green leaf pattern.

She added a pink rose to the front of her dress and wore a bright green clutch, while elevating her height in pale pink high heels.
